This year, Hockey Night in Brampton is proudly supporting the Cardiology Program at Brampton Civic Hospital, through the William Osler Health System Foundation.

Our Cause

William Osler Health System serves a rapidly growing area with a demographic that is at a greater than average risk of serious heart disease. This combination places incredible demand on Osler’s cardiology services. Despite the pressure, Osler has built one of the fastest, most efficient cardiac departments in the province, helping Peel Region achieve the highest survival rates for cardiac arrest compared to the neighbouring Halton and Toronto regions. Brampton’s local EMS team has special training to ensure patients receive life-saving treatment quickly.

To continue to provide best-in-class care to an ever-growing area of need, Brampton Civic Hospital’s cardiology team requires leading-edge lifesaving equipment with a total cost of over $1.2 million. Equipment needed includes, a cardiac angiography system ($850,000), three cardiac stress test treadmills ($150,000), cardiac monitors ($100,000 each), and two echocardiographs ($100,000).
